Trail Conditions Report for 1-13-17

Although the rain and warm temps did not wipe out our trail base, they certainly left icy conditions throughout the area.

If you venture out use EXTREME CAUTION. Watch your engine temp and sliders as not much loose snow is available. Our trails are flat.

Trail Conditions Report for 12-29-16

At 5:00 pm it is snowing moderately. 5 inches of new snow so far with 6-12 expected. All our trails are open but with 12 or so inches of new snow it will take some sled traffic to compact the trails and groomers will resume friday night. It should be a great weekend for riding.

There are still some water bars that are open. Stinson Mountain Trail is open and compacted only. Some deep washouts were filled with snow. Use Caution.

We have not yet groomed or checked Three Ponds, Kineo, Brown Brook Loop but they are certainly open with plenty of snow.

Trail Conditions Report for 12-15-16

Well Mother Nature has given us an early Christmas present by blanketing the area with 8-10 inches of snow, cold temps and more snow forecasted for the weekend. With that said, we plan to open USDA gates and our trails on Friday, December 16.
Please review the following cautions:
  • Lakes, ponds and streams are not yet safe.
  • Beware of waterbars and flowing water on trails.
  • Blowdowns and hazards may still be present as volunteers have not checked all trails (it’s OK to clear trees if you ride).
  • Stinson Lake Road (Trail Section) is presently plowed for logging operations. Use caution.
  • Eagle Cliff Trail is currently closed due to logging operations.
  • Grooming Operations begin Monday, December 19.
Finally, always check your local conditions before going out. Refer to the site for weekly Trail Conditions updates.
And as always, ride safely and respectfully.
Remember, that cross country skier might be the property owner.
